Lincoln County math teachers worked diligently this summer learning about technology and other exciting topics.
Twenty-one math teachers of grades 5 through 8 attended the Middle School Math Academy - "Get radical, but keep it real." The first day teachers learned about differentiating instruction to better meet the needs of all learners. Our guest presenter was Roger Bennett from Boone County. Days 2 and 3 were spent learning about the graphing calculator and how its use can improve instruction and thus, student achievement.

Eight senior high and middle school math teachers attended "Project Math" at RESA II in Huntington for two weeks. Again, technology was one of the topics of study. Teachers worked with Geometer's Sketchpad and the TI-Navigator system.
Several elementary math teachers across the county attended a week-long series of workshops in Charleston.
