Tuition Reimbursement Procedure

In order to receive a tuition reimbursement, teachers are required to submit a request for tuition reimbursement form to WVDE first. If it is denied by WVDE, Lincoln County schools may reimburse teachers utilizing Title I or II funding. Only core subject areas will be considered for reimbursement, with shortage areas taking precedence. The form for WVDE can be found on the WVDE website under teacher resources, certification, and then downloadable forms. Teachers will use form 36. There are directions for filling out the form on this site as well. Once the form and the required w-9 to go with it are complete, teachers will submit them to the certification office (Joanne Adkins). The certification offices will assist teachers with remainder of the process. If WVDE denies reimbursement, please submit the following to the Federal Programs Office (Kirk King): the denial letter from WVDE; a class description, a final grade, invoice/bill and a receipt showing that you paid for the class. This sounds like a lot of work, but it is worth it!
